Elizabeth Dale began her writing career writing short stories for teenage and women’s magazines and has sold thousands all over the world, but turned to writing for children once she had children of her own. She writes for all ages from board books to middle grade, and has had over 60 children’s books published. She particularly enjoys writing picture books – of her recent ones – Off to Market was a runner-up in the Dundee Picture Book Awards, When Betsy Came to Babysit was read on Cbeebies and her latest picture book, Nothing Can Frighten a Bear is being sold in 12 countries around the world, including the USA, China and Russia. Her next two picture books Scary Mary and The Great Santa Mix-up will be published later this year.
