Author Christopher Priest introduces the screening of the 2006 film starring Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, David Bowie and Scarlett Johansson. You’ll believe in Magic!

Christopher Nolan’s award-winning mystery thriller about two Victorian stage magicians who develop an obsessive ambition to be the best magician alive.  Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale’s obsession with producing the greatest magic trick in history turns into a deadly feud in which both men are willing to kill.  Intense and very tightly plotted, The Prestige turns truth into illusion and illusion into truth, right up until the shocking climax. Brilliant performances, fantastic cinematography and superb storytelling which puts clues in plain sight.
