Led by Simon Guerrier

For decades, the highest-grossing movies, most successful TV shows and best-selling books have often had one thing in common: elements of science-fiction or fantasy. It’s a captivating, apparently universal language. Now you can learn how to write it.

Writer Simon Guerrier will explain what makes a good science-fiction story and help you get yours started. He’ll guide you round some of the common pitfalls of the genre and offer plenty of tips – for everyone from beginners through to published writers. Simon’s workshop was a huge hit with the Hastings Writing Group, many of whom had never tried writing science-fiction before.

Simon has written countless Doctor Who books, audio dramas and comics. He has also produced documentaries for BBC Radio 3, written a number of award-winning short films and created the original science-fiction series Graceless, broadcast on Radio 4 Extra.

Also for Sci-fi fans: Doctor Who and the Sound of Fear.
